Second Line for Sr. Cathi

In March, 2017, the Big Easy Sisters suffered the loss of Sr. Cathi Ter, who until January of that year had been our second Abbess. It goes without saying that members of the House and many friends, both within New Orleans, and without, were devastated. Sr. Cathi had been very involved in the gay community in many ways. In the grand tradition of New Orleans, after we held a memorial service for her, during which there wasn't a dry eye in the place, we held a Second Line. This means hiring a marching band and lining up and walking and dancing through the streets. We are very proud of the work Sr. Cathi did, and we still miss her terribly.
