Red Dress Run, 2019
The Red Dress Run is a charity event that takes place over various weekends across the country. The idea is that one pays a fee to enter a race, which one runs while dressed in a red dress. The money from the entry fees is donated to sundry charities. In New Orleans, it is, of course, seen as another excuse to have a rollicking good time. People dress in red dresses and go on an extended pub crawl through the French Quarter. The Big EAsy Sisters were there, too, with visitors from the Derby City Sisters of Louisville, KY. And yes, several of us did make donations to charities in spite of not running in the actual race.
