Bunny Bear

Guard Bunny Bear used to be Guard Security Blanket, but too often found himself standing in a corner with a stern look on his face whilst surveilling a room. He thought, “Man I gotta lighten up!” Later, while wearing bunny ears at a bal masque, he noticed they were a big hit, and wore them again at a Gay Pride Parade. Again a hit! And Guard Bunny Bear was born. Guard Bunny Bear joined SPI to be of service to others, and to help lead the charge of social activism. He believes that we live in a time where everyone’s rights are at risk. We cannot be complacent. ACT UP!

Guard Bunny Bear’s novice project occurred when he was a member of the Jacksonville House. Like many large cities, Jacksonville is struggling to rejuvenate its urban centre. He posted if anyone needed help with a community service project, and a friend, who had recently moved their musical theatre to a building in Jacksonville’s urban core needed help getting the building ready for opening. So Bunny Bear and a team of helpers cleaned the building, painted the exterior, and did other useful things. It was a wonderful experience to help revitalize a part of the city that would otherwise have slid into sad neglect.

Bunny Bear’s turn-ons include an impish grin and eye contact. Those will get you pretty far. His turn-offs are gossip and talking smack. His hobbies include cooking, sailing, scuba diving, and boating, and his spirit animal is a dolphin.

Inspirational Quotes:

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a ride!”  ― Hunter S. Thompson

I just can't tame this damn charisma. Can I help it if I effervesce? ― Fran Drescher
